STAFF

Seán Reid: Seán is 24, originally from Newbridge, Co. Kildare but now resides in The Boston Crabs HQ in Moate, Co. Westmeath. A life-long fan, Seán is both the head writer and founder of The Boston Crab and does his best to ensure that the site presents the best articles to be found anywhere online.

Seán with Stalker Ichikawa

Seán has been published in Fighting Spirit Magazine, writes a weekly column for 411mania.com every Sunday, a wide number of  independent websites and publications, appeared on Griff FM to speak about wrestling and has his own opinion column in St. Conleths Newsletter. He finished his BA(Hons) in Journalism and Visual Media from Griffith College Dublin in 2008.

His favourite match of all time is Randy Savage vs. Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat at Wrestlemania III, his favourite wrestler The Dynamite Kid and he is currently marking out for BxB Hulk, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Austin Aries and Jack Swagger.

Jonathan Keane: Jonathan is a life long wrestling fan, or perhaps geek, depends on how you look at it. This is his first foray into regular wrestling writing but he also writes for the music site Drop-D and has had work published in some student publications.

Jonathan Keane

The wrestler that has had the biggest impact on him is Shawn Michaels (And yes, he did shed tear at Wrestlemania and the following night’s Raw) and his favourite matches are  HBK and Razor Ramone at Wrestlemania X, Daniels/Low Ki/Danielson at The Era Of Honor Begins and Styles/Daniels/Joe at Unbreakable 2005.

He is currently marking out for CM Punk and feels he can do wrong (besides giving Kane a GTS)? If he ever writes an autobiography, Jonathan hope it’s called “How to draw heat and maintain it with apparent ease”. He is currently working on his BA in Journalism from Griffith College Dublin.

Colm Ivers: Colm is a twenty something failed musician who writes scornful articles about other people who’ve accomplished their hopes and dreams. He hopes one day it will lead to inner peace and silence the voices in his head but efforts thus far have proven fruitless.

Colm Ivers

He is also a playwright that hasn’t quite failed just yet but he’s working on this quite diligently as we speak. In his spare time, which he has a lot of, Colm watches Old MMA tapings and follows the ins and outs of the sport as if he has a financial stake in it, of course, he doesn’t.

Colm has also trained in various martial art forms over the years including Judo, American Kenpo and MMA. The meager success he enjoyed in these has given him a sense of righteous indignation that he feels allows him to tell other fighters what they should or shouldn’t have done after the event in question has already taken place.

Aaron Mc Nicholas: Aaron is from Clones, Co. Monaghan and is currently studying at DCU for a BA in Journalism. He is 18 years old and has been a wrestling fan since he was 7. He has written for student publications before but this will be his first time writing for a wrestling related venture.

The wrestlers that had the biggest impact on him as a child were the Undertaker, Triple H and Mick Foley. These days, he draws most of his inspiration from the Japanese scene, both past and present but he still considers his favorite match to be the Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels at Badd Blood 1997.

His favorite wrestlers on the current scene are Sugiura Takashi and Nakamura Shinsuke. He feels that it’s the most intriguing match that can happen in 2011 and hopes we get a chance to see it.

Dave Dunne: Dave is a long time wrestling fan and opinionated loudmouth, currently residing in Drogheda, Co. Louth. A qualified English teacher with a BA and MA in English from NUI Maynooth, Dave has opted to dedicate his time into letting people know what he likes and dislikes about the wrestling industry today.

Dave has been a fan of WWE since he was a small child, and still watches Raw and Smackdown each and every week. In his spare time, he likes to play games, read sci-fi books, and sometimes don a pair of wrestling boots he invested money in, hold his replica titles above his shoulder and look into a mirror, crying as he realises his dreams of headlining Wrestlemania are but distant fantasies.

His favourite wrestler is CM Punk and he has a plethora of favourite matches forming a list to long to note here. He also has come to the realisation that he is closer to a mark than smark, and he’s ok with that…

Lisa & Real Hazard

Lisa O’Keeffe: Lisa is a 23 year old Media Studies graduate with no full-time media job. She knew very little about wrestling until Seán came into her life bringing the joys of wrestling with him. She is a self confessed grammar Nazi and gets a kick out of pointing out spelling errors, which resulted in being nicknamed ‘The Dictionary’ in Primary school. One English degree later and not much has changed. Her favourite wrestler is Mick Foley, consequently her favourite match is Mick Foley vs The Undertaker ‘Hell in the Cell’ 1998. She currently proofreads all the site articles for The Boston Crab.
